MALAYSIA’S POLITICS yg HAMPEH
Sunday, May 20th, 2007MALAYSIA’S POLITICS
Disgrace! Tat is wat I culd think bout when I read bout sexist remarks by two most controversy MPs, MP for Jasin Datuk Mohd Said Yusof and MP for Kinabatangan Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin on Friday. Bung Mokhtar and Mohd Said then said, “Mana bocor? Batu Gajah pun bocor setiap bulan.” (Where is the leak? Batu Gajah (MP Fong Po Kuan) also leaks every month.) The furor started last week in the Dewan Rakyat when opposition MPs tried to raise a motion on the leaking ceiling near the media centre.
For me, the most annoying things is not about their sexist remarks. But how they react. No appologies?? MP says sorry to women, then retracts his apology just because he was called to meet with Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil?? And Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz shuld SHUT UP! “Such unguarded outbursts always happen during debates and unfortunately the press had played up the issue,” he said.
HELLO Minister, if MPs start thinking more rather then talking bullsheet in parliament, they will know better. This Is not only a ‘debate’. It is a parlimiament assebly for God sake! We elected those MPs to make national decisions! Not only just debate. Do you want a law maker talks like this?
SOME OF THE COMMENTS IN NEWS:
“How can we respect MPs who pass sexist remarks in the other gender? Perhaps they forgot their mothers and wives are women.”
“An MP is to fight for the rights of his constituents. Behaviour of Jasin and Kinabatangan MPs undermine and mock them!”
“Inikah wakil rakyat kita? Tolong fikir sebelum bercakap”
“Jasin MP in the spotlight again. NO punishment for his previous close 1 eye case? Are we serious about fighting corruption?”
“MPs shuld be role models to others. Don’t forget, ur own kids are watching u!”
“It’s very sad when our MPs are not debating laws properly but behave in Parliament worse then children. I wont vote for them for sure.”
“Introduce ‘KEMPEN BERBUDI BAHASA’ in Parliament.”

“Developed country MPs talk about global issues, our MPs only intrested in sexist remarks.”
